Sheesham Wood
Sheesham is one of the best known trees. The tree grows up to 25 meters. Originally discovered by Swedish botanist Nils Dahlberg, it grows usually close to rivers.
Since ancient times the Egyptians have used wood for economic purposes. To grow such a tree you need to put seeds in water for two days, wait for them to grow for two or three weeks.
This tree needs sand or mixed soil and can only grow at temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius.
If you want to grow your own sheesham tree, you need to take care of it for about twenty years and dry it for another 4 years after cutting until you can treat the wood.
Do you understand the reasons for the scarcity and high price of this rare wood now?
